Drupal 6 Tour Centroamerica — Now in Mexico!

I met my friend Josef Daberning, who did his Austrian Social Service working with Drupal at the Casa de los Tres Mundos NGO, in Granada, Nicaragua, at the Central American Free Software Encounter, last May. He told me that, when going back to Austria, he would spend some days in Mexico, and wanted to give a workshop on Drupal.

The course has just started, and will take place today and tomorrow — You can follow the live stream at http://www.iiec.unam.mx:18000/drupal.ogg — The videos will be uploaded soon as well, I will post them on this same node.

If you want to come, you are more than welcome. There is still space! We are in Ciudad Universitaria, South of Mexico City. Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas - UNAM. We are starting the second session (16:00-10:00), tomorrow we have a third and final session (10:00-14:00).
Of course,it is all over by now. I will be processing the videos and uploading them to Archive.org's Open Source Movies archive. The three videos (for the three sessions) are available!

Que tal,

Me entere de este evento hace un rato, y por lo que comentas el cupo es limitado. He tratado de acceder al sitio en donde comentas que puede verse una transmisión en video, pero por lo visto el sitio esta abajo.

¿Habrá alguna otra fecha para poder asistir a estas platicas?

También veo en Groups Drupal que las fechas son el jueves y viernes, si es así hay manera de asistir?

Te comento brevemente que somos un grupo de personas (entre 3 o 4), que estamos trabajando en el desarrollo del sitio web de LyF, el cual esta montado en Drupal y estamos interesados en conocer más a fondo esta herramienta, para poder brindar un mejor servicio a nuestros usuarios.

El stream estuvo abajo dos horas (de 14:00 a 16:00) porque salimos a comer, pero ya estamos de vuelta arriba. Estamos comenzando la segunda sesión (16:00-20:00), y mañana (10:00-14:00) tenemos la tercera. Hay cupo, ¡láncense, más que bienvenidos!

Como sea, estoy grabando las sesiones, y vamos a publicarlas lo antes posible.

No es «cuándo harán». Acá no existe un ellos y un nosotros. Es «cuándo organizamos».

Esta gira fue iniciativa de una sóla persona, Josef Dabernig. Claro, él está ahora de vuelta en Austria, así que probablemente no sea la persona más adecuada — pero hay muchos drupaleros en la región, incluso en Venezuela. Únete al grupo, contáctalos, invítalos a organizar algo, organízalo tú!
