Every year, towards the end of October, Museo de Artes Populares organizes the "night of the alebrijes" - I was not there during the presentation night, but cycled Reforma the day after (or two? or soon after?). This is what I saw - Part of it, as it was a huge exposition!

On June 12 2010 I took part of my second World Naked Bike Ride (the fourth time it is organized in Mexico, IIRC). It was great fun, dare I say with a much better environment (subjectively, of course) than the 2008 edition. According to the policemen that escorted us along the way, we were around 500 people.

I had postponed for too long (being not too strict on myself, around three years) taking my CENEVAL ACREL-Acuerdo 286 exam. This agreement allows people with no formal studies (but over 30 year old and with at least 10 years of experience working on their professional field) to validate their knowledge and obtain a paper legally equivalent to an universitary title.

Anyway — I finally signed up for the exam. However, I did this at the end of the registration period. And when I signed up, there was only room to present the exam at Tijuana — The farthest possible point in the country! Anyway, I decided that it was enough: I would not accept any additional excuses to pospone this even more.

So I travelled to Tijuana. And, of course, I had a couple of long walks around there. Yes, yes, I know Tijuana is known as one of the most dangerous cities in the world — But, what, would I deny myself the opportunity to check this out by myself? No way! And the photos in this album are witness to it.

Before and after EISI, I had some days to spend in and around Bogotá. In Bogotá, I was mainly with my good friends, Giovanni, Nina and Jimmy.

I was invited to Universidad de Manizales Manizales, Colombia, for the Third International Encounter on Computer Security (III Encuentro Internacional de Seguridad Informática), October 7-9 2009. Previous to the encounter, I spent two days in Bogotá with some dear friends.

Josef Dabernig, Drupaler whom I met in Nicaragua, decided to take a long trip on his way back home, giving Drupal courses while travelling over Nicaragua, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico.

He gave a two-day, twelve-hour course in Mexico City, at my Institute. Thanks for a great course and for a great time, Josef!

The second National Free Software Forum (Foro Nacional de Software Libre). Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, May 28-30 2008.

I was invited to III Congreso de Informática, Robótica e Inteligencia Artificial by a strange although interesting entity called Congress University. I was there for barely the required time to give my presentation and chat a bit with the organizers and other speakers, had very little time to talk with the attendees... But all in all, it was worth it.

April 26, 2008: Festival Latinoamericano de Instalación de Software Libre (Latin American Free Software Installation Festival), held simultaneously in over 200 cities in the whole continent. I was invited to give a talk in Monterrey.
