What about my life?
I’m an all-around geek. Well, after looking at this page, I’m sure there is no doubt about it ;-) I live stuck to computers, using and promoting exclusively Free Software. I’m quite fond of my job, and it’s not uncommon to find me 12-14 hours staring at the strange glow that comes from my monitor.
And what do I do for a living?
I am a systems administrator, and as such, I have also become a programmer. I work at the Economy Research Institute (IIEc - Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas) at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM - Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México). I am part of several Computer Security and Free Software related groups, both as a work activity and on my free time.
Since April 2003, I am a Debian Developer. The Debian project, in short (and not in strict terms) produces the biggest Linux distribution, completely as a community effort. But this is not the place to talk about Debian - Maybe you want to check my (quite outdated, but still) Debian presentation?
And if you want some more detail about my professional activities, please check on my curriculum vitæ.
